This article reports the results of a study whose purpose was to analyze the “Well-being of pupils in schools: A guide to fulfilling children’ education and work life” by evaluating the most popular aims of education and determine how pupils can reconcile all the acquired theories in their practical life in order to make the world flourishing on any scale. A better schools’ education activities can guide the choice of development.
For many years, Professor John White has been concerned about these following questions. It is uncontroversial to say that a basic aim of education is to prepare young people for adult life, but what kinds of adult lives do we want schools to prepare children for? What sort of society do we want to create for the future? What, in short, are schools for? Furthermore, John White offers a provocative characterization of philosophy of education.
The qualitative approach have been used for data collection and desk review method. The results showed that John White, in this brief reaction as mentioned above, has put attention, not only on the characterization and the maintenance of a strong connection between philosophy of education and philosophy, but also on pupils’ well-being and their future in the society work life.
Key words: philosophy, education, philosophy of education, well-being, future work life.
