The Efforts to Reduce Aggressive Behavior of Elementary School Students Through the Gestalt Theory Approach

Abstract

This article discusses the handling of aggressive behavior of students, especially elementary school students in Indonesia that 15 elementary school students in Purwakarta want to attack other elementary schools. This incident did not only occur in Purwakarta but previously also occurred in Magelang and Makassar. Given that one of the essences of developmental tasks Elementary school students are playing, so this event is very worrying for its future development. Gestalt approach theory is an alternative counseling approach that can reveal the causes of students who will do the brawl. It is hoped that counselors can apply this Gestalt approach as a reference to reveal aggressive behavior in elementary school students.
