AbstractMidwives’ performance is an important indicator of the quality of midwifery services in primary healthcare facilities. Optimal performance is influenced by various individual and work-related factors. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing midwives’ performance in providing midwifery services at Bontoramba Public Health Center, Jeneponto Regency. This study employed a cross-sectional design. The population as well as the sample consisted of all midwives working at Bontoramba Public Health Center, totaling 33 respondents, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant association between length of service and midwives’ performance (p = 0.013), workload and midwives’ performance (p = 0.027), and attitude and midwives’ performance (p = 0.013). In conclusion, length of service, workload, and attitude significantly influence midwives’ performance in providing midwifery services. Therefore, effective human resource management is needed to improve midwives’ performance through workload management, development of professional attitudes, and optimization of work experience.
