Hypertension and hyperuricemia are non-communicable diseases with increasing prevalence in the community and require appropriate prevention and management strategies. One complementary approach that can be utilized is the use of herbal plants such as bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum) and celery leaves (Apium graveolens), which are believed to help control blood pressure and uric acid levels. This community education program aimed to improve public knowledge regarding the preparation and utilization of bay leaf and celery leaf infusions as supportive therapy for hypertension and hyperuricemia. The activity involved 15 participants, predominantly women (93.3%), while men accounted for 6.7%. Based on age distribution, adults aged 30–45 years represented the largest participant group with an average pre-test score of 8.88. The early elderly group aged 46–55 years demonstrated the highest baseline knowledge with an average pre-test score of 9.66, while participants aged over 55 years achieved an average score of 8.00. Following the educational intervention, all participants demonstrated improved knowledge, reflected by post-test scores reaching 10.The findings indicate that health education effectively improves community knowledge regarding the benefits, preparation methods, and limitations of bay leaves and celery leaves as complementary therapy that should be used alongside medical treatment.
