Abstract: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a chronic digestive disorder characterized by the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus, which can reduce patients' quality of life. Low public awareness of GERD is a factor affecting prevention and treatment efforts. This study aims to increase public awareness through health education activities about GERD. Objective: This research aims to increase public knowledge through health education activities about GERD. Methods: The methods used were socialization and interactive discussions supported by brochures and PowerPoint presentations. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests to measure knowledge levels before and after the intervention. Results: The study showed a significant increase in knowledge, with an average pre-test score of 54.28, which increased to 92.14 in the post-test. All participants (100%) experienced an increase in knowledge after receiving health education. These findings indicate that health education through live presentations, brochures, and interactive discussions is effective in increasing public understanding of GERD. Conclusion: Health education has been proven to increase public knowledge about GERD, so it is hoped that the public can apply this knowledge in promotional and preventive efforts against this disease.
