Gout (hyperuricemia) is a health problem characterized by elevated uric acid levels in the blood, which can lead to joint pain, inflammation, and decreased quality of life if not properly managed. In Sungai Bakung Village RT 08, community knowledge regarding non-pharmacological management of gout and the utilization of herbal plants remains limited. Objective: This community service activity aimed to improve community knowledge and skills in utilizing bay leaves (Syzygium polyanthum), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), and ginger (Zingiber officinale) as herbal beverages to support gout management. Methods: The program was implemented through problem identification, pre-test and post-test evaluations, health education sessions, educational videos, discussions, and the distribution of booklets containing practical herbal preparation guidelines. Results: The intervention showed a significant improvement in participants' knowledge, with an average increase of approximately 80% based on pre-test and post-test scores. Participants also demonstrated more positive attitudes toward the safe and appropriate use of herbal remedies as supportive therapy for gout. Conclusion: Health education and training on herbal utilization effectively improved community knowledge and attitudes and provided a practical approach for promoting non-pharmacological management of gout through locally available medicinal plants.
