Abstract. Hypertension is a major public health problem that requires continuous efforts through preventive and promotive approaches. Limited public knowledge regarding hypertension prevention, blood pressure control, and the appropriate use of herbal plants remains a challenge in community health management. This community service activity aimed to improve public knowledge about hypertension prevention and introduce celery leaves (Apium graveolens L.) as a natural herbal resource to support hypertension management in Surgi Mufti Village, Banjarmasin. The activity was conducted through health education, information delivery using educational media, and training on the preparation of celery leaf herbal tea. The evaluation was performed by assessing changes in participants’ knowledge before and after the educational intervention. The activity resulted in increased community understanding of hypertension risk factors, prevention strategies, and the proper utilization of celery leaves as a complementary herbal approach. This program concluded that community education combined with practical training can improve awareness and skills in utilizing local herbal resources to support hypertension management while encouraging healthy lifestyle practices.
