Peningkatan Pengetahuan Dan Keterampilan Kelompok Ibu-ibu PKK di Kelurahan Pengkok Gunung Kidul Dalam Pengolahan Jahe Menjadi Minuman Instan

Jahe merupakan salah satu tanaman herbal yang cukup populer baik di Indonesia maupun di mancanegara. Rasa pedas yang dihasilkan jahe sangat khas dan kemampuannya untuk memberikan kehangatan bagi tubuh mampu menjadikan jahe sebagai salah satu komoditas yang ngehits sepanjang masa. Namun pengolahan jahe belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat, sehingga perlu adanya pendampingan dan pelatihan mengolah jahe menjadi sirup dan serbuk instan. Jahe yang diolah menjadi minuman instan memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan jahe segar. Metode yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan sirup dan serbuk instan. Setelah dilaksanakan program ini hasil yang didapatkan adalah peningkatan umum masyarakat tentang keamanan pangan sebelum pelatihan sebesar 37%, dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 91%, sedangkan tentang pengetahuan pengolahan jahe menjadi sirup dan serbuk sebelum pelatihan sebesar 38% dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 92%. Keterampilan pengolahan jahe menjadi sirup dan serbuk sebelum pelatihan sebesar 42% dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 94%.
