Abstract

The acupressure technique is a simple treatment effort and can be done alone to reduce menstrual pain (dysminorrhea). Irrational management of menstrual pain can result in various side effects, even losses such as medication errors due to inappropriate doses and inappropriate use of drugs without doctor's instructions such as inappropriate use of drugs due to obtaining information from social media. This activity aims to increase public knowledge about rational drugs used in the treatment of dysmenorrhea and the application of acupressure massage techniques in reducing pain in dysmenorrhea. Socialization is given by lecture method and direct practice. “Participants completed a pre-test questionnaire, then participated in socialization activities before completing a post-test questionnaire. Findings of observations of running activities revealed that participants were quite passionate about participating in this activity, and the results of knowledge assessments revealed that participants' knowledge levels increased after they were offered socialising opportunities.

 

Abstrak: Teknik akupresur merupakan upaya pengobatan yang sederhana dan dapat dilakukan sendiri untuk mengurangi nyeri haid (disminore). Penatalaksanaan nyeri haid yang tidak rasional dapat mengakibatkan berbagai efek samping, bahkan kerugian seperti kesalahan pengobatan karena dosis yang tidak tepat dan penggunaan obat yang tidak tepat tanpa petunjuk dokter seperti penggunaan obat yang tidak tepat karena mendapatkan informasi dari media sosial. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Remaja Putri tentang obat rasional yang digunakan dalam pengobatan dismenore dan penerapan teknik pijat akupresur dalam mengurangi nyeri pada dismenore. Sosialisasi diberikan dengan metode ceramah dan praktek langsung. Partisipan mengisi angket pre-test, kemudian mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi sebelum mengisi angket post-test. Temuan observasi kegiatan lari mengungkapkan bahwa peserta cukup antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini, dan hasil penilaian pengetahuan mengungkapkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan peserta meningkat setelah diberikan kesempatan bersosialisasi.
