Pemanfaatan Instrumen Self Screening Untuk Meningkatkan Peran Keluarga Dalam Pencegahan Penularan Penyakit Tuberkulosis

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis which attacks the lung tissue. The purpose of implementing this community service is to use the Self Screening instrument to increase the role of the family in preventing the transmission of tuberculosis in the working area of the Pakuan Baru Health Center, Jambi City. 50 community members attended this activity. Health education and training for the community through a family approach regarding the dangers of tuberculosis and prevention of transmission of tuberculosis through the use of self-screening instruments is carried out in coordination with the Pakuan Baru health center. There is an increase in the knowledge and skills of community members on how to prevent transmission of tuberculosis by using self-screening instruments. Prior to the training, community members did not know how to use the Self Screening instrument to prevent transmission of tuberculosis and after the training, all community members knew how to use the Self Screening instrument to prevent transmission of tuberculosis.
Abstrak: Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium Tuberculosa yang menyerang jaringan paru-paru. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pemanfaatan instrumen Self Screening untuk meningkatkan peran keluarga dalam pencegahan penularan penyakit Tuberkulosis di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi. Kegiatan ini diikuti 50 anggota masyarakat. Pendidikan kesehatan dan pelatihan terhadap masyarakat melalui pendekatan keluarga tentang bahaya penyakit tuberkulosis dan pencegahan penularan penyakit tuberkulosis melalui pemanfaatan instrumen Self Screening dilaksanakan melalui koordinasi dengan pihak puskesmas Pakuan Baru. Terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota masyarakat cara mencegah penularan penyakit tuberkulosis dengan menggunakan instrument self screening. Sebelum dilakukan pelatihan anggota masyarakat belum menhgetahui cara penggunaan instrumen Self Screening untuk mencegah penularan penyakit tuberkulosis dan setelah dilakukan pelatihan semua anggota masyarakat mengetahui cara instrumen Self Screening untuk mencegah penularan penyakit tuberkulosis.
