Abstract

Sebagian besar pasien yang mengalami hipertensi ditemukan memiliki tingkat kepatuhan gaya hidup sehat yang tergolong rendah. Tidak patuhnya pasien hipertensi terhadap gaya hidup sehat mengakibatkan tidak terkontrolnya tekanan darah. Tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik harus selalu dikontrol agar tetap dalam batas normal karena komplikasi hipertensi akan terjadi apabila tekanan darah tidak dikendalikan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media booklet pada kader untuk  meningkatkan  kepatuhan berobat penderita hipertensi. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat menggunakan pemberian edukasi berupa penggunaan media booklet pada kader. Sebelum pemberian edukasi, tim pengabdi melakukan pengukuran pengetahuan dan setelah pemberian edukasi diukur lagi pengetahuan penderita hipertensi. Pendampingan pasien Hipertensi dengan pemberian booklet, kotak obat dan pemasangan poster sebagai upaya pemberdayaan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan.
