Skrinning Penyakit Kardiovaskular melalui Pemeriksaan Elektrokardiografi pada Penderita Hipertensi dan Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2

Hipertensi merupakan faktor risiko penyakit kardiovaskular dan bersama Diabetes Mellitus bertanggung jawab atas separuh dari mortalitas penyakit kardiovaskular (PKV). Adanya risiko dan kematian yang tinggi disebabkan oleh PKV pada pasien DM maka diperlukan alat diagnosis dini PKV. Pemeriksaan Elektrokardiografi (EKG) pada saat istirahat direkomendasikan menjadi salah satu metode pemeriksaan untuk melakukan skrining PKV terutama pasien dengan riwayat hipertensi atau dicurigai menderita PKV. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berlokasi di Klinik Dokter Keluarga (KDK) Fakultas Kedokteran UM Palembang dengan responden yaitu pasien KDK yang merupakan kelompok pasien berisiko yaitu pasien Hipertensi dan DM tipe 2. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dilakukan deteksi dini adanya PKV. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dalam bentuk pemeriksaan rekam jantung menggunakan alat EKG pada 25 orang pasien kemudian dilakukan interpretasi gambaran EKG. Berdasarkan hasil rekaman EKG didapatkan sebanyak 17 orang memiliki gambaran EKG normal dan 8 orang pasien yang memiliki gambaran EKG abnormal. Pada minggu berikutnya, dilakukan follow up bagi pasien yang memiliki gambaran EKG abnormal berupa edukasi satu persatu dan melakukan perujukan ke Pelayanan Kesehatan yang lebih tinggi untuk pemeriksaan dan tatalaksana lebih lanjut. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat mendeteksi secara dini Penyakit Kardiovaskular sehingga dapat dilakukan tatalaksana awal untuk mencegah komplikasi lebih lanjut.
