Gambaran Pengetahuan dan Sikap terhadap Minuman Manis pada Usia Dewasa Muda di Kepulauan Riau

Minuman manis merupakan minuman yang mengandung gula atau bahan pemanis berkalori yang dapat meningkatkan risiko penyakit Diabetes Melitus (DM) tipe II jika dikonsumsi berlebihan. Proporsi kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis sebanyak 1 – 6 kali per minggu paling banyak pada kelompok usia 19 – 29 tahun (>40%) dan Kepulauan Riau termasuk dalam peringkat kedua frekuensi terbanyak setelah Bangka Belitung di wilayah barat Indonesia. Kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis dapat dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan dan sikap seseorang terhadap minuman manis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap konsumsi minuman manis pada kelompok usia dewasa muda di Kepulauan Riau. Jumlah sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 158 orang yang berusia 19-29 tahun dan berdomisili di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Pengumpulan data pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap minuman manis diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner dan diolah menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki pengetahuan baik sebanyak 147 orang (93%) dan sebagian besar responden memiliki sikap positif (53,2%) terhadap minuman manis. Kelompok usia dewasa muda seharusnya dapat mempertimbangkan jumlah gula dan kalori yang terkandung dalam minuman manis agar dapat mencegah terjadinya penyakit tidak menular.
