Abstract. Sungai Jelai Village is a village located in Tambang Ulang District, Tanah Laut Regency. Behind its natural beauty, this village has low public health quality data marked by several deaths caused by degenerative and infectious diseases. One effort to improve the quality of life and welfare of its people is to implement a health cadre program. This community service activity lasted for approximately four months with various stages, including surveys and coordination, providing education and training in handling degenerative, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases, providing technology innovation training and mentoring health cadres in educating their community. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the knowledge of Sungai Jelai Village health cadres regarding degenerative, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases and an increase in the cadres' ability to practice using health examination tools. In addition, there was an increase in the cadres' knowledge regarding home care and telemedicine services. The implementation of this activity ended with mentoring of health services by cadres to the community by conducting health checks and education. Based on the results of the activities, it is expected that the quality of public health in Sungai Jelai Village will increase through the existence of a health cadre program that has been educated and given training related to the handling, prevention, and early detection of degenerative, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases.
