Humans certainly always have the desire to be better in all aspects, especially physical aspects. The desire to be good is sometimes excessive considering that no one is perfect. Excessive craving for a perfect, body shape causes Body Dysmorphic Disorder or Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). Watkins (2006) defines BDD as a fictitious physical disability or excessive attention to appearance that is actually insignificant. As for the method used in this literature review is the Systematic Literacy Review where data is obtained through one source, namely Google Scholar and through the checking stage with the criteria that have been made. The results showed that the tendency for BDD characteristics to be obsessed with one or more perceived defects or deficiencies in the patient's physical appearance which cannot be observed or appears only slightly in the sufferer, is followed by repetitive behavior or mental actions in response to concerns about their appearance and is manifested as appearance problem.
