Gambaran Academic Hardiness Pengurus Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan Dan Konseling Periode 2019-2020

College is an education unit that is expected to prepare individuals to become members of society who have academic and professional abilities who can apply science and technology, develop science and technology and improve the standard of living of the community. Various demands occur, not only being able to have good knowledge but the world of work also demands that individuals be able to work with good attitudes and soft skills. To face these challenges, it is necessary to have the attitude or character of Hardiness to be able to balance academic needs with the needs for developing soft skills. This study aims to conduct a survey on academic hardiness in Guidance and Counseling students who participate in the Guidance and Counseling Student Association for the period 2019-2020. The number of samples in the study was 38 people. The results showed that most of the students of the guidance and counseling study program had high academic hardiness (52.6%) and some of them had moderate academic hardiness (47.4%). In addition, none of the students had low academic hardiness (0%). The result of this study that, it can be concluded that on average, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program students who are active in organizations as administrators of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program Student Association have high and moderate academic hardiness. There are no students who have low academic hardiness.
Abstrak: Pendidikan tinggi merupakan satuan Pendidikan yang diharapkan dapat menyiapkan individu menjadi anggota masyarakat yang memiliki kemampuan akademik dan professional yang dapat menerapkan IPTEK, mengembangakan IPTEK dan meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat. Berbagai tuntutan terjadi, tidak hanya mampu memiliki pengetahuan yang baik namun dunia kerja juga menuntut individu mampu bekerja dengan sikap dan keterampilan soft skill yang baik. Untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut maka perlu adanya sikap atau karakter Hardiness untuk mampu menyeimbangkan antara kebutuhan akademik dengan kebutuhan pengembangan soft skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan survey mengenai akademik hardiness pada mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling yang mengikuti organisasi Himpunan Mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling periode 2019-2020. Jumlah sampel penelitian adala 38 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data sebagian besar mahasiswa program studi bimbingan dan konseling memiliki akademik hardiness yang tinggi (52.6%) dan sebagiannya lagi memiliki akademik hardiness sedang (47.4%). Selain itu, tidak didapatkan mahasiswa yang memiliki akademik hardiness yang rendah (0%). Berdasarkan penelitian diatas didapatkan hasil bahwa rata-rata dari mahasiswa yang cenderung aktif berorganisasi sebagai Pengurus Himpunan Mahasiswa telah memiliki akademik hardiness yang tinggi dan sedang. Tidak ada mahasiswa yang memiliki akademik hardiness rendah.
