Notice on the Use of Generative AI
Dear Authors,
Majalah Kesehatan Indonesia (MAKEIN) recognizes that Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies have become part of the academic workflow and may be used in a limited and responsible manner during manuscript preparation.
However, AI must not replace the authors’ critical thinking, scientific judgment, interpretation, or intellectual contribution. Authors remain fully responsible for all manuscript content, including data, tables, figures, citations, and references. The use of AI must be responsible, transparent, and verifiable. The Editorial Team will reject manuscripts without further editorial processing when there is evidence of irresponsible or undisclosed AI use, unverifiable or fabricated data, tables, results, citations, or references, false or misleading AI-use declarations, or any other practice that violates this policy.
If evidence of such violations or material inconsistencies is identified after publication, the Publisher may initiate a post-publication investigation and request clarification or supporting documentation from the authors. Where the investigation confirms that the violation compromises the integrity, reliability, or trustworthiness of the published work, the article will be retracted in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and retraction procedures.
All authors are required to review and comply with this policy before submitting or revising a manuscript. Authors remain accountable for compliance with this policy even after publication.
