Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan penyesuaian diri remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa-siswi SMA Pondok Modern Selamat 2 Batang dengan sampel 230 siswa. Metode pengambilan sampel mengunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Alat ukur penelitian terdiri dari 2 skala. Skala penyesuaian diri yang terdiri dari 20 aitem dengan reliabilitas skala sebesar 0,809 dan skala dukungan sosial terdiri dari 34 aitem dengan reliabilitas skala sebesar 0,900. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial dengan penyesuaian diri dengan R= 0,264 Fhitung= 38.464 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p kurang dari 0,05). Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin baik penyesuaian diri di pesantren. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel dukungan sosial terhadap penyesuaian diri adalah sebesar 26,4%.
